Leading Freight Forwarder / NVOCC/ Customs House Broker/Tank Container Operator, with locations in 24 countries and over 3300 employees strong is seeking a Air Export Customer Service Representative to be based out of its Houston, TX. This position offers an exceptional opportunity.

Job Requirements:

  • 2-5 years experience in handling Air Export shipments for a Freight Forwarder
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, be a team player and work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines daily
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Experience with the handling of hazardous materials a plus
  • IATA DG Certification a plus
  • TSA training Certification a plus
  • Knowledge of Air Import operations a plus
Responsibilities
  • Coordinating air export shipments and processing the files from A to Z
  • Communicating with customers, staff, vendors and overseas agents
  • Provides excellent and timely customer service by proactively informing clients of the status of their shipments
  • Receiving, reviewing and processing high volume, and/or complex export transactions
  • Developing and maintaining excellent service to internal and external customers
  • Working with airlines/trucking companies to obtain quotations and handle the movement of freight
  • Responding to rates requests received from clients and overseas offices/ agents
  • Arranging, booking and confirming cargo space with the carriers
  • Preparing and processing House AWBs, Master AWBs, Invoices, Insurance Certificates, Certificates of Origin, Consular Documents, EEIs, etc.
  • Handling the export cargo as required by the TSA regulations
  • Handling the AES submissions, as per Government Regulations
  • Reviews and monitors all AES data submission rejections, requests for information from clients, government agencies, and other correspondence.
  • Adhering to all domestic and international shipping regulations
