Job Description Scope of Position: Responsible for providing excellent customer service and the timely movement of air cargo for the West region that is in accordance with the company mission statement and in compliance with all applicable regulations. A summary of the process would be receiving cargo (if from another origin), booking the cargo, processing consolidation paperwork, and scanning all documents into our document imaging system. Dispatching and overseeing all airport transfers and pickups with local trucking vendors. Position Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 08:30am – 05:00pm Major Duties and Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service – both internal/external whether verbal or email Effective interpersonal skills - ability to relate to internal peers at different levels as well as external customers and vendors. Ability to work without constant supervision - self motivation and attention to detail required. Maintaining positive relationships : immediate counterparts in the air export departments in the region, airlines, truckers, ground handlers, etc. Maintains constant communication with warehouse staff during consolidation to ensure shipment quality and compliance Responsible for daily updating and monitoring of various reporting tools and rates from vendors Detailed attention to accounting to ensure we are paying our bills timely and correctly. Responsible for the management of our capacity through posted consolidation schedules and in booking additional space as needed. Complete required training associated with specialized cargo: dangerous goods, temp control, LATAM for all types of cargo being handled Constant self-development. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: High School Degree or equivalent required Successful candidates must pass a background check Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Must not require future sponsorship for employment visa Fluent in English, both written and verbal Must have the ability to work overtime in support of the department’s needs Must be able to commute to the city of Hawthorne, CA Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skills Comfortable working in a fast pace and professional business environment, Flexible with schedule to support business needs in the operation.
