Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to join our team as an Air Freight Customer Service & Documentation Officer. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while managing the end-to-end documentation process for air freight operations. The successful candidate will handle customer inquiries, prepare and process air freight documentation, and ensure efficient coordination of air cargo shipments in compliance with international regulations and company standards. Key Responsibilities Customer Service Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding air freight inquiries. Provide accurate shipment information, updates, and guidance on documentation requirements. Resolve customer concerns and issues in a timely and professional manner. Documentation Management Prepare, review, and process air freight documentation including Air Waybills (AWB), import/export declarations, invoices, packing lists, and other required shipping documents. Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable regulations. Coordinate document submission and processing within required timelines. Issue Resolution Identify and resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, or documentation issues. Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure effective problem resolution. Coordination Liaise with airlines, airline agents, ground handling agents, customs brokers, and other related parties to ensure smooth cargo handling and shipment processing. Track shipments and provide regular status updates to customers. Compliance Ensure all operational processes and documentation adhere to international air freight regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Record Keeping Maintain organized and accurate records of shipment documentation and customer communications for audit and compliance purposes. Requirements Education & Experience Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 1–3 years of experience in air freight logistics, customer service, or documentation management. Hands-on experience managing air freight documentation and customer interactions. Skills & Competencies Customer Service Skills: Proven ability to deliver excellent service and maintain strong customer relationships. Technical Proficiency: Experience with air freight management systems and logistics software. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers and internal teams. Customs & Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of international air freight regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements. Customs Procedures: Knowledge of air freight documentation procedures and best practices for import and export shipments.
