Description
Lead new/forward model product development of AIS systems and subsystems in accordance with Ford GPDS deliverables and milestones for NA and global programs. Design, develop, validate, and release High/Low Pressure AIS systems. Lead/Support resolution of all design, manufacturing, program, and launch issues. Lead supplier SPMT/CPMT activities. Support all program meetings (Design Reviews, PMT Meetings, Change Control, AIMS, Milestone Status, Launch Readiness following the PPAP process, Etc.) Interface with internal (PD, STA, NVH, VO, VOME, Purchasing/Tof4, Etc.) customers, and external suppliers/sub-suppliers. Coordinate supplier prototype builds to ensure successful build events. Management of all applicable WERS, FEDE, FEDEBOM, FMA, Etc. program activities. Create, complete, and approve supplier and internal DV/PV test plans and oversee testing in support of robust validation. Lead/Support warranty reduction and issue resolution by the 8D process and documentation. Lead/Support TVM cost reduction idea generation and implementation. Lead/Support change control activities. Travel as necessary to Ford Assembly Plants/Facilities and Suppler/Sub-Supplier sites for issue resolution and build support. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor of Science in Engineering; BSME preferred. Component and System/Subsystem D&R Experience; Internal combustion engine experience preferred. Ability to work effectively and lead in a team environment. Experience with Ford internal PD systems (GPDS, FEDE, WERS, AIMS, SREA, Teamcenter, 3DX, Etc.) and MS Office Applications Knowledge of FMEA's, Control Plans, and DV/PV Plans. Knowledge of GD&T and Dimensional Control (SPC, Statistics, Etc.) Basic knowledge of NVH, Materials, Durability, and Manufacturing (Injection and Blow Molding and Rubber Processing) Strong Interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and background. Ability to prepare and present information to all levels of management. Highly motivated, self-starter, with ability to self-manage and generate/prioritize workload.
