Description
Leads to provide a global safe working environment initiative for Air Operations personnel through the management of identification and mitigation of risk by providing proactive actions for injuries and aircraft damages. Essential Functions Corrects regulatory compliance issues and insuring recommendations are followed through to resolution. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education Bachelor degree or Equivalent in safety or related discipline. Professional accreditation (CSP, CIH) Accredited certification in at least two of the following areas: Industrial Hygiene (IH), Industrial/Occupational Safety, Fire Prevention, Accident Investigation and Dangerous Goods; Minimum Experience Two (2) years in department before advancement. Proficient in FEC computer systems and in-depth understanding of departmental databases being able to conduct causational analysis. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of occupational safety regulations and related standards (OSHA). Strong investigative, analytical, communications and human relations skills. Understanding of the aviation industry and its components. Capable of leading complex inter-company projects with minimum management supervision. Trains lower level safety specialists.
