Job Title Air – Project Manager Location Samlesbury or Warton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary Up to £54,098 depending on experience What you’ll be doing Managing a project, or a part of a larger, more complex project, taking responsibility for specific work packages, and/or integrating across work packages and teams Setting objectives, clarifying needs and managing stakeholders to align to project and company success criteria Creating, integrating and maintaining project schedules, managing dependencies Operating and understanding a project control system to control scope, define progress and identify programme performance issues Monitoring performance and providing trend analysis to determine improvement areas and to support the development of key performance indicators Driving ownership and completion of the work scope tasks throughout the project team Managing change, controlling and balancing scope, budget and timescales, applying Earned Value Management techniques Applying risk and opportunity techniques to continuously improve and optimise outcomes to deliver value for money and satisfy customers Undertaking team management and leadership responsibilities, ensuring safety is at the forefront of all we do Your skills and experiences Essential Experience of operating project control systems, defining and driving progress, whilst identifying and then addressing performance issues Experience creating and maintaining project schedules, using the relevant toolsets Experience applying Earned Value Management techniques Experience of risk, opportunity, scope and change management Demonstrable track record of achievement and objective delivery Desirable Demonstrated ability to lead a team with previous management experience Degree educated, supplemented with a formal project management qualification such as APMP, Prince 2 or equivalent experience Benefits As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
