Description
Air Traffic Radio Operators are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of ground radio communications within the Kavala Amygdaleon area and the surrounding local airspace. The role requires the effective day-to-day management and dissemination of critical operational information, including: Providing general aerodrome information, such as the runway in use and overall aerodrome serviceability. Communicating weather updates and advising pilots of any significant changes in aerodrome meteorological conditions. Supplying information on reported aerodrome traffic when requested. Conducting manual confirmation of correct radio frequency usage and equipment serviceability through vocal response. Issuing timely and accurate alerts to emergency services when required. Assisting and guiding pilots who are unfamiliar with the aerodrome environment. Supporting the safe movement of ground vehicles on the apron, taxiways, and runway areas. Facilitating runway changes in coordination with circuit traffic. Informing general traffic of the arrival and departure of priority aircraft, including ambulance flights, state aircraft, and other special operations. Monitor reported traffic movements entering and departing the Amygdaleonas Aerodrome Traffic Zone (ATZ). Activate and disseminate relevant Notices to Air Missions (NOTAMs) associated with aerodrome operations. Essential Criteria University or Technological Educational Institute degree in Exact Sciences, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field Fluency in English Excellent computer skills Valid driving license and car ownership Excellent medical condition (in accordance with applicable regulations) Candidate Profile The ideal candidate, with a genuine passion for aviation, should demonstrate: Excellent communication skills (ability to receive, process, interpret, and relay large amounts of information in a short time) Strong multitasking ability and sharp working memory High situational awareness and spatial orientation Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills Confidence in using technology Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure Relevant aviation studies, previous experience, and aviation-related hobbies or interests will be considered an advantage.
