JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you will report to the Sr. Manager of Maintenance Operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of aircraft maintenance. This position requires you to conduct maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, modifications, and installations, and conduct functional tests on electrical systems and components.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Extensive experience as an aircraft maintenance engineer.
  • Troubleshooting and line maintenance expertise.
  • Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Transport Canada issued AME M2 license.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct maintenance, modifications, and repairs on company aircraft as assigned.
  • Utilize documentation such as AMM, SRM, IPC, SBs, and SLs for maintenance tasks.
  • Support aircraft discrepancy rectification at various bases.
  • Report any unserviceable or unsafe conditions and equipment to the supervisor.
  • Compile and assist in the reporting of Service Difficulty Reports (SDRs).
  • Participate actively in the company’s Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Ensure all tooling is current and serviceable; maintain up-to-date documentation.
  • Verify that parts used for maintenance have the appropriate paperwork or trace.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of company facilities and equipment and report any deficiencies.
  • Provide training and direction to other technicians and learners.
  • Communicate and liaise with maintenance control regarding aircraft deferrals and status.
  • Maintain an AME M2 license and comply with all training requirements.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
