KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Required

  • Experience working in an aircraft maintenance facility performing structural repairs, heavy maintenance and modifications.
  • Understanding of Aviation regulatory requirements and standards for Aircraft maintenance.
  • Computer Literate at basic level in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems and Microsoft suite.

Preferable

  • Structural repair and modification experience on aircraft in the scope of the Bell Textron Australia CAR 30 and Part 145 certificates.
  • Previous experience in an organisation within a similar scope and size to Bell Textron Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft is carried out to the highest possible standard in compliance with company policies and procedures and Civil Aviation Regulations.
  • Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with the relevant and current Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).
  • Ensure tasks and duties are accomplished as per Bell Textron Australia Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure smooth workflow on assigned jobs with minimal disruptions by effective use of allocated of manpower and resources.
  • Aircraft work packs and log book entries are completed in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • AMRs are raised at time of identification of additional work and are accurate.
  • Track progress of work to ensure budgetary control is maintained.
  • Provide directions to apprentices to assist them to meet budgets and delivery schedules.
  • Implement remedial action to correct project overruns.
  • Provide input into parts ordering for assigned projects to ensure parts are available to meet scheduled delivery times.
  • Regular review of project documentation to ensure accuracy and integrity of data.
  • Provide input into customer queries and/or complaints.
