Purpose: As an Avelo Aircraft Maintenance Team Lead you will ensure the safe, compliant, on-time and efficient maintenance of Avelo aircraft at the line maintenance level. This is achieved by coordinating and executing aircraft maintenance and providing guidance and support to Crewmembers. The Team Lead will champion a culture of “Safety” and “One Crew”, while maintaining transparency in actions and communications to Maintenance Control and fellow Crewmembers. Responsibilities: Maintain an understanding of the maintenance program Coordinate and execute scheduled and unscheduled work loads Assume “ownership” of the operation on shift and maintain open communication with crewmembers and leadership Ensure that Crewmembers are competent, trained, and qualified Manage materials by ensuring parts are requisitioned accurately and identify stock level deficiencies Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) Program and promote a ‘Safety Always’ culture Behavioral Competencies: Possesses strong critical thinking and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills Ability to clearly lead, mentor and instruct other Crew Members Strong written and verbal communication skills Requirements 2 years Line or Heavy maintenance experience at a Part 121 Air Carrier High knowledge of aircraft systems and troubleshooting and MEL procedures 1-year leadership role in a Line Maintenance or Shop environment FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required Must be able to lift 50 lbs. for a distance of 10 feet Must be able to work outside in inclement weather Boeing Systems Fam courses preferred Must have the authority to work in the U.S as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986 May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities
