About the role We are recruiting for Aircraft Mechanic - Engine Shop to be based in Doha, Qatar. Aircraft Mechanic - Engine Shop will ensure that all scheduled and unscheduled requirement on bore scope tasks, spare engines /APU tasks such as engine build up, receiving inspection, dispatch inspection, cannibalization of engine parts on AOG situation, spare engine storage and tool housekeeping with in engine facility is performed to the highest possible maintenance standards. Specific responsibilities of the role include: Operational Performing maintenance tasks such as inspections, component replacements, servicing , QEC build up, modifications, minor repair of engines and APUs as directed by a licensed Engineer or Lead mechanic Adhering to all pertinent safety precautions as published in manufacture’s and company relevant publications on all tasks in relation to the accomplishment of scheduled, unscheduled ‘Borescope inspections and engine build up tasks. Responsible for a quick Engine change build up to ensure availability of ready for installation Power plant to support aircraft operation. Responsible for engine Fan case Split / mate to support hot spare availability. Ensures Engine Module R/I within company capability register. Maintains critical engine defect rectification in light, heavy and Doha line to ensure operational reliability. About you The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications: Qualifications and Experience: Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Trade or vocational aircraft maintenance qualification or Degree (B.Eng., BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering. ICAO Type 2 Basic license with minimum 5 years Aircraft Maintenance experience (including apprenticeship). Qatar Airways fleet engine Type Engine maintenance Experience. Airbus and Boeing documentation experience. Engine Module / Removal. Bore scope support experience. V2500, Trent 500, GE CF6-80E1, GE90, GENx, GP7000, Trent XWB build up and Maintenance experience will be an added advantage. Bore scope support experience for V2500, Trent 500, GE CF6-80E1, GE90, GTCP 331-250/350 and APS3200, GE Nx, GP7000 will be an added advantage. Engine Module Removal / Installation Experience.
