JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to provide Corrosion Maintenance Support (CMS) to perform Intermediate Level (I-Level) and Organizational Level (O-Level) corrosion control related to scheduled/unscheduled maintenance that includes special inspections, corrosion treatment, corrosion prevention, topcoat maintenance/low observable restoration, and environmental seal restoration maintenance. CMS will be performed on the F/A-18 and F-35 aircraft aboard MCAS Cherry Point. CMS tasks will be coordinated with the MAG/MALS Aircraft Maintenance Officer (AMO), the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), Assistant COR (ACOR), the respective Squadron AMO/Maintenance Material Control Officer (MMCO), and the Contractor Team Lead.

Responsibilities

· Perform routine aircraft maintenance functions
· Demonstrate an operational knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines and component parts
· Operate aircraft towing equipment in towing operations
· Maintain aircraft hydraulic systems
· Knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenance
· Must be able to read and write, and interpret and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, and directives, guides and forms used on the job
· Corrosion Prevention and treatment
· Aircraft Paint and LO training
· Perform preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems
· Perform troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems and aircraft sub-systems.
· Service ground support equipment. Perform preventive maintenance inspections on all ground support equipment
· Use blueprints, schematics, technical drawings and manufacturers’ drawings and sketches in the performance of assigned duties
· Complete maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA, ALIS and required forms, as required by job assignment
