Description

As an Aircraft Mechanic in IFE – Line, you will be responsible and shall perform all work in accordance with approved technical data, QR standards and procedures to the highest standard, best practice and safety to meet the operational requirements as set by the department. Responsible for the completion of any assigned tasks within the frame work of procedures by performing effectively, efficiently and safely within an environment of time constraints with a high level of technical competency. Responsible for rectifying cabin defects to maintain 5 stars standard of all our QTR fleet following Cabin standard manual. Operational Accountabilities; Conducts tests and inspections of products, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Adjust, aligns and calibrates aircraft systems, using hand tools, gauges and test equipment. Examines and inspects engines or other components for cracks, breaks or leaks. Dissembles and inspects parts for wear, warping or other defects. Assembles and installs electrical, plumbing mechanical, hydraulic and structural components and accessories using hand tools and power tools. Services, cleaning screens, greasing screens, greasing moving parts and checking brakes. Repairs, replaces and rebuilds aircraft structures, functional components and parts such as wings and fuselage, rigging and hydraulic units. Tests engine and system operations, using testing equipment and listens to engine sounds to detect and diagnose malfunctions. Removes engine from aircraft on installs engine using hoist or forklift truck. Modifies aircraft structures, space vehicles, systems or components following drawings, engineering orders and technical publications. Reads and interprets aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Implement technical solutions for various technical problems related to technical line maintenance. Qualification and experience: Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Trade or vocational aircraft maintenance qualification or Degree (B.Eng., BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 2 years of job-related experience Aircraft Maintenance experience (including apprenticeship) in depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance fundamentals relative to his area of employment Ability to apply principles, techniques, procedures and equipment to the design and production of various. Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job Using mathematics to solve problems Installing equipment, machines, wiring or programs to meet specifications Controlling operations of equipment or systems Command of English Language About Qatar Airways Group Our story started with four aircraft.
