Aircraft Mechanic (Part-Time)
Location: Gaithersburg, MD 20879

Pay: $39.00 – $45.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 10–20 per week

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, including inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems and components to identify and diagnose issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and schematics to ensure procedures are followed accurately.
• Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to log activities and track aircraft history.
• Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Complete welding and soldering tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with other technicians to complete complex repairs or modifications.
• Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of avionics systems (electrical, electronic, and communication systems).
• Understanding of airframe structures and sheet metal fabrication.
• Able to repair engines, landing gear, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Requirements:

• 1+ year of aircraft maintenance experience (Required)
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (Required)
• Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite in Gaithersburg, MD
• Willingness to work flexible shifts (day/night/on-call/weekends)
