Position Summary: AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Columbus, MS that is an international pioneer in the aerospace industry. They are a leader in designing, manufacturing and delivering aerospace products, services and solutions to customers on a global scale. A commercial aircraft manufacturer, with Space and Defense as well as Helicopters Divisions, they are the largest aeronautics and space company in Europe and a worldwide leader. The Aircraft Painter – Technician A is responsible for performing skilled painting tasks on aircraft and aircraft parts in accordance with OEM specifications, FAA regulations, and company quality standards. Essential Functions: Prepare all surfaces for paint by sanding, masking, filling, washing and removal of dents. Apply corrosive preventative treatments, primers, and finish coats of special Material. Complete Aircraft for customer acceptance by brush touch-up, cleaning striping lines and removal of overspray Requirements Minimum of four (4) years of Painting and Paint preparation on metal and composite/fiberglass components. Able to read and work from blue prints and Bills of material (BOM) to ensure proper coatings are applied IAW Technical Data. Familiarity with common aviation type tooling.
Responsibilities
The Aircraft Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying primers and finish coats to aircraft and parts according to OEM and FAA standards. They also perform touch-ups and final detailing to ensure the aircraft meets customer acceptance criteria.
