Profile: Aircraft Performance Engineer Intern
This 12-month internship/co-op is an opportunity to develop the IATA (International Air Transport Association) SCAP (Standard Computerized Airplane Performance) Take-off and Landing software modules for sustaining De Havilland Canada Dash 8 models, in this case Dash 8-300 series).
The IATA SCAP specification provides an industry-wide standardized means for manufacturers, operators, and third parties to exchange airplane performance data. The software modules are provided by the aircraft manufacturer and allow the calculation of regulated take-off and landing performance data for the aircraft, based on the Airplane Flight Manual (AFM).

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current engineering student (bachelor’s or masters)
  • Preference to students who are completing an software/computer engineering degree
  • Knowledge and experience of aerospace engineering will be an asset
