Our client based in Shannon Airport is a well-established multinational. We are looking for an Aircraft Refueling Technician on a relief basis to join our growing team. Based in Shannon Airport and reporting to the Duty Supervisor, you will have responsibility for providing technical expertise. They support a number of maintenance and operational teams with comprehensive technical knowledge to minimise operational disruption, maintain standby aircraft fuel availability, achieve high reliability statistics, operational serviceability and oversight of upcoming fuel operations.

SKILLS/ENVIRONMENT

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely are critical for fuel distribution operators.
• Be able to use EXCEL, WORD and IT Tools
• Be able to manage emails and Outlook
• Good learning abilities, for both, IT and hands on.
• Understand mechanics, basic electricity and basic physics concepts (pressure, flow, density)
• Mechanical hands-on experience in Industrial Facilities (desirable fuel)
• Experience in the oil or aviation industry desirable.
• Be able to work in various types of weather conditions.
• Work on 12-hour shifts, days and nights,
• Working on nights and weekends on a shift basis.
• Be able to communicate with employees at all levels of an organization.
• Be able to work well both, in teams and independently.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to pass a criminal background check also are fuel distribution operator job prerequisites.
• Full clean C, License is essential.
• ADR tanker and packaging are desirable.

• Carry out the safe, efficient refueling servicing of various aircraft types in accordance with JIG guidelines, company operations and company procedures manual.
• Carry out quality control and other inspection duties in connection with the handling of aviation products.
• Comply with all safety rules and procedures and follow all health & safety related instructions
• Complete necessary documents for customer and company records.
• Operate aircraft tank fuel gauges / fuel load distribution.
• Perform daily vehicle sampling and inspections.
• Perform all quality control checks on the hydrant system.
• Co-operate with security measures for vehicles, plant and company premises. Ensure all necessary locks, gates etc are secured prior to leaving company premises.
• Report all accident, incidents and near misses,
• Report aircraft fueling delays, vehicle and plant defects during shift.
• Provide information in response to complaints or queries from all customers.
• Undertake training as required and perform any duties for which training has been provided.
• As requested, co-operate with airline and oil company audits.
• Co-operate with maintenance engineers.
• Wash and fill all vehicles with diesel etc as required.
• Answer company telephones and respond.
