Description Overview Tanaq Government Services (TGS) provides facilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services to Federal customers. Services provided include complete building maintenance and operations on large complex individual buildings as well as multiple buildings on large campus type environments including military installations. TGS is a subsidiary of the St. George Tanaq Corporation, an Alaskan Native Corporation (ANC) committed to serving Federal customers while also giving back to the Tanaq native community and shareholders. About the Role We are seeking an Aircraft Servicer (Part-time, On-call) to provide onsite Transient Alert services for military and civilian aircraft at Pope Army Airfield in North Carolina, with on-call availability as needed. This is a fully onsite position at Pope Army Airfield in North Carolina. Responsibilities Transient Alert services require directing incoming and outgoing aircraft movement activities, aircraft ground handling, and aircraft towing. Refueling / defueling, aircraft marshalling, installation / removal of landing gear safety pins, inspecting aircraft for hot brakes, utilizing ground chocks and ground wires, positioning and operation of Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) and fire suppression equipment, positioning staircases and assisting aircrews as required. Operate service vehicles to replenish fuel, oil, water, waste system chemicals, oxygen, and hydraulic fluid, and to remove waste. Document service events into maintenance records, providing a description of the servicing performed. Check for fuel contamination by draining sumps and fuel drains. Operate ground support equipment such as electrical power supply and engine starting units. Examine tires for specified air pressure and condition, assist in jacking and the removal and replacement of defective tires. The Aircraft Servicer may de-ice aircraft wings and assemblies load and unload containers of food, beverages, and install drag chutes or retrieve them and send them to parachute shop for repacking. Perform additional duties as assigned. Must be able to work flex schedule, weekends and holidays. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements Required Experience and Skills Prior experience performing aircraft Transient Alert services and providing support for military and/or commercial aircraft. Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests from customers and others. Possess effective written communication skills using appropriate business English. Human relations skills to build effective working relationships. Demonstrated organizational, problem solving and common-sense skills. Abide by the Federal Drug-Free workplace policy. Must be able to pass background check requirements as set by clients. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Must possess and maintain U.S. security clearances at the minimum classification level of “Tier 2”, or the ability to obtain a security clearance. Must be able to pass a National Agency Check Investigation. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future Education and Training High School Diploma or GED preferred.
