Christchurch Engine Centre is hiring qualified Level 4 Aircraft Tradespeople for full-time permanent roles. We are seeking candidates with experience in aviation, mechanical engineering, automotive, or similar trades. What You Will Do Work at designated workstations within Assembly or Disassembly following successful completion of induction training. Operate tools, machines, and equipment to perform detailed engine assembly, disassembly, inspection, and maintenance. Carry out engine work as per manufacturer’s manuals and customer-specific requirements to carry out all tasks. Interpret engine manuals and adhere strictly to work instructions, ensuring precision and quality at all stages. Meet timelines and milestones to deliver engines to testing and back to the customer on time without compromising safety and quality. Carry out SAP transactions and make necessary changes to works order in SAP. Maintain accurate records of all work performed in line with quality and compliance standards. Ensuring that your work meets all health and safety requirements. Qualifications You Must Have Trade Qualified – NZQA Level 4 or equivalent. Minimum 2 years’ hands on experience in aerospace, automotive, mechanical engineering or related fields. Demonstrated ability to follow processes and technical instructions accurately. Able to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, kneeling, and twisting. High attention to detail, accuracy, and good organizational skills. Effective communicator and collaborative team player. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance in all tasks. Willingness to work rotating day/night shifts and overtime as required. Qualifications We Prefer Experience in Engine MRO or the aerospace industry. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and engine manuals. Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
