Operating a fleet of more than 120 aircraft—including the Saab 340B, Embraer 120, Fairchild SA227, Beechcraft 1900, and Beechcraft 99—Ameriflight delivers reliable service from bases across the U.S. Employment Type: Full-Time Location: DFW International Airport Shift: Tue-Sat, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Job Summary The Parts Buyer will purchase goods and services for all Ameriflight bases and ensure adequate parts availability to operate efficiently. Duties and Responsibilities Include Review requisitions and confer with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule Checks and maintains stockroom daily Procures, sources and negotiates the buying of parts & equipment necessary for operation of an organization. Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items. Estimates values according to knowledge of market price. Prepares purchase orders. Reviews bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority. Maintains purchasing records such as items, cost, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories. Approves invoices for payment. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer regularly. The employee must be able to walk, stand, bend, and occasionally enter warehouse or parts storage areas. Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
