The Boeing Airplane Safety Engineering team is seeking a Safety Engineering
Manager (K-Level) to join our team.
The Airplane Safety Engineering (ASE) team is responsible for airplane-level
safety analysis and integration, the Continued Operational Safety (COS) process, and the Safety Lessons Learned process. The ASE team supports new and derivative airplane designs from concept development through in-service
support. For development programs, the ASE team is responsible for working
with the BCA Airplane Programs and regulators to ensure the scope of the
program safety analysis is appropriate, that functional teams supporting the
program are aware of and following the processes for safety analyses, and
execute airplane level safety analyses for the program. For in-service support, the ASE team partners with BCA Airplane Programs, functional leaders and the FAA to identify and mitigate safety issues, as well as investigate related systemic root causes and identify corrective actions in order to effectively manage risk of the in-service fleet.
The selected candidate will manage a team supporting active commercial product development projects as well as in production programs. The ASE team performs critical airplane technical analysis with high visibility across Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The selected candidate will play an integral role in ensuring safe airplane operations and design.
