Description
The AirPods team is seeking a hardworking System Electrical Engineer to join the engineering design team! The team is responsible for developing and delivering all future AirPods products, which includes the architecture, design, integration, validation, and documentation of various power, analog, and mixed-signal subsystems. In this role, you will become the subsystem expert and will be at the center of cross-functional interactions/decision making for that feature throughout the entire product development cycle. DESCRIPTION In the role, you will lead and work with cross-functional teams on subsystem architecture, component selection, design analysis and simulations, schematic and layout reviews, product and manufacturing support, HW/FW bring-up and validation. Additional responsibilities include supporting hardware prototyping and demos, spec drafting and data sheet reviews, and new silicon development (design reviews, bring-up, validation/characterization, and status tracking). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BSEE or equivalent 3+ years overall experience in industry Deep understanding of power and audio mixed-signal building blocks (e.g. PMIC, DC-DC switching converter, LDO, charger, battery, protection, speaker amp, microphone, amplifier, filter, ADC, DAC) Deep understanding of integrating digital communication interfaces (e.g. USB, SPI, I2C, SPI, SWD) Strong analog/mixed-signal analysis (simulations, tolerance analysis, noise, linearity, signal-integrity, timing, etc.) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written communication Experience in designing low-power, high volume consumer products Experience in prototyping, characterizing, and debugging mixed-signal hardware Experience with scripting languages such as Matlab and Python Experience with circuit simulation tools MS or Ph.D EE or equivalent
