Agilus is recruiting for an Airport Maintenance Specialist in the transportation industry in Victoria, British Columbia.
Are you ready to take on a hands-on role that keeps airport operations safe and efficient year-round? As an Airport Maintenance Specialist 2, you’ll be part of a dynamic team responsible for maintaining airside and groundside infrastructure, especially during critical winter operations. If you enjoy working outdoors, operating heavy equipment, and contributing to public safety, this is the role for you!

A typical day:

• Perform general labour and maintenance across airport grounds
• Operate heavy equipment for grass cutting, sweeping, and repairs
• Conduct snow and ice removal during winter operations
• Maintain gates, fences, buildings, and drainage systems
• Support wildlife control and emergency procedures
• Operate passenger boarding bridges and traffic control services
• Complete safety documentation and follow regulatory procedures
• Work from heights and in varying weather conditions

Successful candidates will have:

• Grade 12 education with 2–3 years of grounds/heavy equipment experience
• BC Class 3 Driver’s License with air brakes endorsement
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs and perform physical labour for extended periods
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new tech
• Basic computer skills and English proficiency
• Certifications required within 3–6 months (AVOP, WHMIS, TDG, PAL, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Safety-conscious with excellent judgment and communication skills

Total rewards:

• $35.22 hourly
• Increase to $37.08 after 6 month probation
