WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Our ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of airport operations, and the ability to manage people and processes in a dynamic FIFO environment. We are seeking individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about safety and service delivery.

  • Prior airport management or ARO experience at an Australian airport
  • Current Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO), AROC and Dangerous Goods (DG) certifications
  • Knowledge of CASA regulations and MOS 139
  • Proven ability to manage teams and third-party suppliers
  • Strong communication, time management, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and compliance
  • Physically fit – Able to pass a mine site medical and undergo regular Drug and Alcohol testing
  • Willing to work in extreme conditions – extreme heat
  • Computer literacy and record-keeping skills
Responsibilities

Based on site at Cape Preston Airport, this is an exciting full time FIFO opportunity from Perth to join our team as Airport Manager on a 14 days on, 14 days off roster until 30 June 2026.
This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the airport’s daily operations in a remote regional setting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and customer-focused environment. You will be the key point of contact for all clients on site and ensure that airport facilities, equipment, and personnel are operating to Alliance Airlines’ high standards.

As an Airport Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Day-to-day management of airport operations and facilities
  • Performing the role of Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO)
  • Oversight and maintenance of Ground Service Equipment (GSE)
  • Ensuring compliance with CASA regulations and MOS 139
  • Managing third-party suppliers including fuel providers
  • Coordinating and maintaining training records for all airport staff
  • Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of the terminal and surrounding areas
  • Upholding safety, security, OH&S, and environmental compliance
  • Responding to incidents and reporting via Alliance’s AQD system
  • Performing airport manual controller responsibilities
  • Acting as the primary contact during audits, inspections, and emergency exercises
