Airport Operation Steering Officer THE TEAM The easyJet Switzerland Ground Ops team is responsible for managing and monitoring easyJet Ground Handling Partners to ensure safe and efficient turns and excellent customer service on the ground. You will join a dedicated team focused on delivering operational excellence at Geneva Airport. THE ROLE As an Airport Operation Steering Officer (AOSO) based in Geneva, you will supervise day-to-day ground operations, working closely with Ground Handling partners to improve turn efficiency. You will liaise with the easyJet Operation Centre in Luton to optimise schedules and reduce delays and disruptions daily. Your key responsibilities will include: Live monitoring of On Time Performance for easyJet flights at Geneva Airport throughout the day Being present at the airport during out of hours (first and last wave), weekends, and peak periods Collaborating on D-1 and D day stand planning with Geneva Airport steering and SWP Ops teams Optimising stand planning to maximise use of easyJet’s preferred stands Minimising aircraft swaps, crew changes, overnight delays, and cancellations during disruptions in close cooperation with easyJet’s Integrated Control Centre (ICC) Supporting the Ground Ops Manager in supervising Ground Handling Partners through ramp checks, performance reviews, and improvement plans Representing easyJet at the Geneva Airport Operations Control Centre (APOC) Coordinating actively between easyJet ICC, Geneva Airport, and Ground Handling service providers Prioritising first wave operations during Winter Ops in coordination with de-icing providers, Ground Handling, and airport runway/parking management Activating local de-icing plans in coordination with third parties WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Experience in ground handling or airport/airline operations Expertise in de-icing operations is a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Strong understanding of operational data, KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement Language skills: fluent in English and French WHAT YOU’LL GET IN RETURN > Competitive base salary > Up to 20%25 bonus > 25 days holiday > SAYE & Performance share schemes > Attractive pension fund scheme which includes life insurance > Personal Accident & Travel Insurance when travelling for work > Accident coverage for private and professional accidents > Loss of earnings insurance > Excellent staff travel benefits for you, your friends and family > Employee Assistance Programme > Retail and hospitality discounts PRACTICALITIES This is a 50%25 part-time position based in Geneva, equivalent to 21 hours per week on an annualised basis. The role is fully operational in nature and requires flexibility. The successful candidate must be able to adapt to last-minute changes and be available to work outside standard office hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
