Posting expires: February 6, 2026 General Description and Classification Standards: Provides a variety of services related to proper airport operations and assuring that airport operations are carried out safely and in accordance with regulations and policies. Oversees and inspects aircraft operating areas at the airport for compliance with established Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) and City policies and regulations. Inspects runways, taxiways, aprons, and ramps for proper and safe operations and for hazards; directs the removal of disabled aircraft; investigates injuries; directs snow removal according to plan; coordinates safety procedures; prepares reports; and processes associated paperwork. This is a fully seasoned skilled level capable of independently carrying out most assignments typical of the discipline. This level would be attainable by multiple incumbents in a work group (not necessarily by all), but would not be an "automatic" promotional level. Supervision Received: Works under general supervision. May work independently or with other professionals to accomplish essential duties.
