What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government facility. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site representatives and public agency personnel as directed. Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and monitoring for prohibited items and/or suspicious behavior consistent with post orders. Complete detailed reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate observations promptly through approved radio and/or phone channels. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
