We are seeking a motivated and skilled Network Engineer to support infrastructure projects in Munich. This position is highly practical and requires a professional who enjoys working directly with hardware, structured cabling, and basic device configurations. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless connectivity and robust infrastructure for a professional environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Network or Field Technician, with strong hands-on skills in installation and cabling.
  • Ability to work independently on-site, take initiative, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Basic configuration skills for network devices (Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortigate).
  • Familiarity with firewalls, routers, switches, and physical network infrastructure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Languages: Fluent German (spoken & written), plus basic English (A2–B1).
  • Based in Munich or willing to relocate.
  • Experience working during construction or renovation phases of infrastructure.
  • Previous experience with data center or office cabling standards and documentation.
Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site installation, configuration, and de-installation of hardware including switches (LAN), routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points, and servers.
  • Support infrastructure rollouts, including switch installation and structured cabling during construction or setup phases.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding of equipment, including asset labelling (barcoding) and cable identification.
  • Add, remove, and document cable and port connectivity; remove unused cabling and hardware.
  • Ensure structured cabling and physical setup meet required standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of assets and physical infrastructure.
