Overview R&P is looking for a motivated profession who wants to join our team. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need a Milestones and Certifications Manager ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment. Responsibilities Apply program management, engineering, shipyard operations, planning, and written/oral communication skills, in direct support of PMS 500 mission and objectives Perform the duties as local authority for planning, managing, evaluating, preparing, and directing the execution of production and test milestones/certifications and Alteration Installation Teams Interfaces and coordinates with senior management and technical personnel at PEOs, NSWCs, NAVSEA, NAVAIR and SPAWAR technical codes, SUPSHIP offices, USN Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV), other Naval activities, private shipbuilders, project office members from private industry, and with codes within SUPSHIP Gulf Coast Coordinates and tracks AIT efforts to ensure the DDG 1000 Class is fully certified and capable to operate upon completion of the BYMP Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the DDG 1000 BYMP schedule, milestones, certifications, and AITs supporting the availability Analyze requirements and manage the coordination of all HM&E and Combat Systems Testing required for the completion of system installations, to include production milestones, ship certifications, in port and at-sea testing, and subsequent delivery of the ship to the Navy Develop reports, briefs, and presentations for executive level meetings and events Develop and monitor work tasks via independently developed systems Perform programmatic analysis, timeline analysis, conclusions, findings, and recommendations Initiate and implement execution initiatives, projects, plans, and products that can be leveraged to support PMS 500 Program goals and objectives Participate in regular program management reviews and ensure schedule, technical progress and issues are addressed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of 15+ years of experience in ship post delivery, combat systems integration, test or related discipline.
