Description

We are looking for an AIT Mechanical Test Engineer to take charge of all production mechanical environmental tests, with a main focus on vibration (shake) testing. You will plan, run, and report on both satellite-level and subsystem-level tests, managing the full process from preparing the shaker facility to executing the tests. You will work side-by-side with the AIT Mechanical/Structures Engineer, supporting them in many mechanical testing tasks, and play an important role in setting up and developing ICEYE’s new shaker facility to meet current and future needs.
In addition to testing, you will also help with other AIT engineering activities. This can include reviewing and giving feedback on designs, writing procedures for production, and supporting the team when technical problems or anomalies happen. Your work will be key in making sure our satellites meet quality and mission requirements before they are launched.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Mechanical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics Engineering background
  • Hands-on experience with vibration/shake testing
  • Good understanding of shaker system operation and vibration test profiles (sine, random, shock, etc.)
  • Experience writing technical reports and test documentation
  • Ability to analyze test data and understand test failures or anomalies
  • Comfortable working hands-on with test equipment, sensors, and mechanical fixtures
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in space or aerospace hardware testing is highly valued
