We are currently seeking a compassionate and energetic Part-Time Activities Assistant to support our Activities Coordinator in planning and implementing a variety of recreational activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in a supportive community setting. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Activities Coordinator in planning, organizing, and executing recreational activities tailored to residents’ interests and needs - Engage residents in activities that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and physical well-being - Help facilitate group events, outings, and individual activities as scheduled - Monitor and ensure the safety and enjoyment of residents during activities - Maintain activity supplies and ensure activity areas are clean and inviting - Document resident participation and provide feedback to the Activities Coordinator Skills and Qualifications: - Previous experience in recreational therapy, activities coordination, or a related field preferred - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents’ needs - Flexibility to work some weekends as required - High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in recreational therapy or activities are a plus At Grand Villa of Deland, we foster a warm, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment.
