Description Activity Assistant – Weekend Shift Grand Villa of Englewood is dedicated to providing a vibrant and engaging environment for our residents. We are currently seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Assistant to join our team on weekends, helping to create meaningful experiences and promote well-being for our residents in assisted living. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities - Assist in the development of activity schedules and special events - Engage residents in social, physical, and cognitive activities to promote their overall wellness - Monitor and ensure the safety of residents during activities - Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and social interaction - Collaborate with staff and family members to support residents’ individual needs and preferences Skills and Qualifications: - Previous experience in activity planning or working with seniors preferred - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Creative, energetic, and compassionate approach to engaging residents - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 5pm - Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to adapt activities for various mobility and cognitive levels At Grand Villa of Englewood, we value a caring and supportive community where staff can grow professionally while making a positive impact on residents’ lives.
