OVERVIEW

We are seeking a candidate willing to become a skilled and detail-oriented Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, low voltage installations. As an Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various alarm systems, including intrusion detection systems (IDS), CCTV, access control and telecommunication setups. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and hands-on experience with tools and equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Clean drivers abstract with valid G License.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Committed to continuous learning and knowledge retention in alarm, CCTV, and access control technologies.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Experience in electrical work or related fields beneficial but not required.
• Familiarity with computer networking concepts as they relate to alarm systems.
• Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and components.
• Experience with CCTV installation and maintenance is highly desirable.
• Mechanical knowledge to assist in equipment setup and repairs.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Install, configure, and maintain alarm systems including sensors, CCTV cameras, and access control systems.
• Will perform wire installation in hard-to-reach areas, including attics and crawl spaces.
• Ability to safely perform tasks at height using ladders and elevated lift equipment is required.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installations.
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of alarm systems to identify issues and implement solutions.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation tasks.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in alarm technology.
