POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Calgary Jewish Academy is looking to a hire a highly motivated and qualified individual to teach Grade 4 – 9 Alberta Curriculum-specific area TBA depending on candidate area of strength, as well as additional courses as required for the upcoming school year (2025 – 2026).
Consideration will be given to those individuals who:
· Have experience with upper elementary and junior high science
· Provide high standards of academics
· Provide differentiated instruction in a small classroom space for students

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Have a Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate – Interim or Permanent
· Have a Bachelor of Education Degree or experience and equivalent recognized by Alberta Education
· Teach according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students (ie. differentiated instruction)
· Be adaptable and flexible in a supportive learning environment
· Be committed to working as a team member in a collaborative setting
· Have strong communication and classroom management skills
· Be committed to professional development and the vision and mission of the CJA
