POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Calgary Jewish Academy is looking to a hire a highly motivated and qualified individual to cover a FTE 0.8 in Grade 3 Science and 4 ELA and Social Studies-Alberta Curriculum for September to the beginning of January 2026. We would also consider making this person our regular supply teacher for the remaining of the school year so they will have a full year contract.
Consideration will be given to those individuals who:
· Have experience with Grade 3 Science and Grade 4 Language Arts, Social Studies
· Willingness to extend contract to include being our Supply Teacher (substitute)
· Provide high standards of academics
· Provide differentiated instruction in a small classroom space for students

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Have a Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate – Interim or Permanent
· Have a Bachelor of Education Degree or experience and equivalent recognized by Alberta Education
· Teach according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students (ie. differentiated instruction)
· Be adaptable and flexible in a supportive learning environment
· Be committed to working as a team member in a collaborative setting
· Have strong communication and classroom management skills
· Be committed to professional development and the vision and mission of the CJA
