About Urban Assembly Academy of Government and Law (AGL)
AGL is a small public high school in Manhattan’s Lower East Side that prepares diverse students for college and career success through a rigorous law-themed curriculum. Position Overview - Math Teacher (Algebra II Focus)
We’re seeking a passionate educator to join our mathematics department for the 2025-2026 school year! This position offers the opportunity to teach rigorous mathematics within our unique law-themed curriculum, working with diverse learners in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What You’ll DoTeaching Responsibilities

  • Teach mathematics courses including Algebra II and other courses as assigned
  • Implement rigorous, student-centered learning environments that uphold high expectations for all students
  • Align curriculum with NYS Next Generation Standards and Illustrative Math
  • Integrate mathematical concepts with law and government themes unique to AGL
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues in a team-oriented environment

What We’re Looking For: Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
