Description
Help shape the future of mobility. Imagine a world with zero vehicle accidents, zero vehicle emissions, and wireless vehicle connectivity all around us. Every day, we move closer to making that world a reality. Aptiv’s passionate team of engineers and developers creates advanced safety systems, high-performance electrification solutions and data connectivity solutions so that automakers can bring advanced capabilities to more people around the globe. This is how we enable sustainable mobility and help to prevent accidents caused by human error. Job Overview: The Algorithm Engineer (Radar + Camera Fusion) will develop advanced perception algorithms that combine radar and camera sensor data to enable 360° surround view, autonomous parking, and parking assist features on next-generation digital cockpit platforms. The role involves working with embedded systems, infotainment integration, and real-time visualization pipelines for production-grade ADAS systems. Job Responsibilities: Develop fusion algorithms combining radar and camera data for object detection, tracking, and classification in parking and low-speed environments. Implement signal processing algorithms for radar (FFT, CFAR, Doppler/angle estimation) and camera (image processing, object detection, semantic segmentation). Design sensor calibration and extrinsic/intrinsic alignment pipelines for multi-camera + radar setups. Integrate radar-camera perception into 360° surround view systems and infotainment HMI. Optimize algorithm performance for embedded SoCs (Qualcomm SA8295P, NVIDIA Orin, TI Jacinto), considering latency, memory, and CPU/GPU utilization. Develop simulation models and test benches using MATLAB, Python, or Simulink to validate fusion algorithms. Support SIL/HIL validation and vehicle-level testing for parking and surround view functions. Collaborate with ADAS, Infotainment, HMI, and system teams for seamless integration of perception results into cockpit displays. Analyze edge cases like occlusion, low light, multi-path interference, and sensor noise. Maintain documentation for algorithm design, calibration, and integration workflows. Skills Needed: 10–15 years experience in ADAS, Radar, and Camera perception algorithm development. Strong knowledge of sensor fusion techniques (Kalman Filter, JPDA, Extended KF, Particle Filter). Hands-on experience in Radar signal processing and camera image processing. Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and C/C++ for algorithm development and embedded deployment. Experience with embedded real-time systems (QNX, Linux, or Android Automotive OS). Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, SOME/IP). Exposure to ADAS calibration tools and sensor validation frameworks Preferred Skills: Experience in 360° Surround View, Parking Assist, and Low-Speed Automation features. Familiarity with Digital Cockpit platforms integrating ADAS and Infotainment on a single SoC (SA8295P, NVIDIA Orin). Knowledge of ROS2 / OpenCV / TensorRT for perception and fusion pipelines. Understanding of ISO 26262 safety standards and ASIL-B/C perception modules. Experience with AI-based detection algorithms for radar or camera sensor fusion. Exposure to HMI integration of perception overlays (cluster, CID, HUD). Your Background: A graduate in BE/B.Tech/ ME/ M.Tech (Electricals/ Electrical / Computer Science) or related field. A go-getter, good in communication, challenge ideas to achieve career aspirations aligned with Aptiv mission A Learning Enthusiast to be passionate about learning, follow trends and publications in the market outlining new solutions Why join us?
