Description
Assignment Description: To strengthen our research and development team in Lund, we are looking for a highly motivated Algorithm Software Developer with a strong focus on camera based sensing and sensor fusion. In this role, you will develop and validate algorithms that combine camera data with other sensors, such as inertial, motion, or environmental sensors. You will work across the full development chain – from proof of concept and data analysis to implementation on embedded platforms and integration into products. You will collaborate closely with software, hardware, and system engineers, and be part of a large network of algorithm experts. Together, you will discuss ideas, share knowledge, present results, and contribute to innovation through patents and publications. Your work will help enable robust perception and understanding of the environment in applications ranging from mobility and IoT to consumer and industrial products. You will: • Develop algorithms for camera processing and multi sensor fusion • Design and evaluate perception pipelines using real world sensor data • Combine model based and data driven approaches where appropriate • Validate algorithms through simulation, offline analysis, and on target testing • Guide implementations from prototype to product ready embedded solutions • Collaborate in cross functional, international development teams • Share knowledge and contribute to technical discussions, reviews, and patents Qualifications You enjoy working in an open, collaborative environment and are motivated to deliver high quality solutions. For this role, you bring: • A PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field • Experience in computer vision, camera algorithms, or perception systems • Experience with sensor fusion and handling data from multiple sensor modalities • Strong skills in Python for data analysis, prototyping, and evaluation • Experience implementing algorithms in practice; knowledge of embedded C/C++ is a merit • Familiarity with machine learning or AI applied to sensor or image data is a merit • Good understanding of algorithm validation and performance evaluation • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Responsibilities
The role involves developing and validating algorithms that combine camera data with other sensors like inertial or environmental sensors, spanning the full development chain from concept to embedded implementation. Responsibilities include designing perception pipelines, combining model-based and data-driven approaches, and validating algorithms through various testing methods.
