Davidson is seeking a dynamic and skilled Algorithms Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This role is part of a small, adaptable group of individuals creating fundamental technology aligned with our strategic business development pipeline. The selected candidate will contribute to the advancement of Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools guided by the needs of our customers. We take pride in creating a collaborative environment free from bureaucratic processes, allowing our technical experts to innovate and create next-generation solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, or a related field
  • Proficiency in linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics
  • Experience in modeling and simulation development
  • Proficiency in basic AI/ML methodologies
  • Knowledge of discrete and continuous Optimization techniques
  • Ability to write software using Python, MATLAB, and C++
  • Experience with common data structures and algorithms
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on product development
Responsibilities
  • Research new theories, ideas, and concepts for application to customer needs
  • Create novel algorithms to address specific challenges or improve existing solutions
  • Develop algorithmic solutions into software implementations for demonstrations and
  • Conduct thorough analyses to assess the performance and benefit of algorithms through testing and evaluation methods
