We’re seeking an R&D Team Lead with a strong background in software engineering and algorithms, alongside proven leadership capabilities. This role is ideal for someone eager to build cutting-edge tools that bridge quantum theory with practical software solutions. Responsibilities Manage a team of talented quantum software engineers Lead the development of qmod, Classiq’s high-level quantum modeling language Guide the design and implementation of quantum circuit synthesis and optimization algorithms Integrate advanced quantum concepts to enhance performance, scalability, and user experience Uphold high standards of architecture, code quality, and maintainability Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and engineering excellence Collaborate closely with product and algorithm teams to deliver intuitive, production-ready quantum capabilities Requirements Experience leading R&D or engineering teams Proven track record in hiring, onboarding, and growing high-performing engineering teams Strategic thinking combined with a strong execution mindset Excellent communication and leadership skills Proven hands-on software development experience, especially in Python Strong academic background (M.Sc. or higher preferred) in Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field Passion for building tools that empower developers and researchers Advantages: Solid understanding of quantum computing principles Experience with quantum software frameworks (e.g., Classiq, Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane) Familiarity with functional or domain-specific programming languages Prior experience in compiler or synthesis engine development
