Car City on 28th Street in Wyoming, MI, is looking to hire an Alignment / Automotive Tire & Lube Technician to join our growing service department! This is a replacement position due to the current tire tech's upcoming promotion within the service department. Installing new tires and wheels. Torque lug nuts to correct specifications. * Oil and lube for cars and light trucks. * Performs maintenance on tires, including rotations, balancing, and repairs. * Clean hubs and wheels for corrosion. * Resetting Tire Pressure Sensors. * Load scrap truck and other duties as assigned to conduct business. Job Qualifications/Requirements: * Valid Michigan driver’s license and good driving record (accepted by our insurance carrier to drive company vehicles on/off the lot). * Must be of 18 years of age or older. * Experience with tire mounting, balancing and TPMS a plus. * Participates in training, follows safety procedures, job duties and Company policies. * Conducts basic maintenance and cleaning. * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, following safety requirements. * Must be able to lift 60+ lbs. and reach items overhead. Manual dexterity including finger, hand, and arm movement to grasp and assemble very small objects while keeping arm/hands steady. * Flexibility including: the ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. * Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player. * Dependability is a must. * Flexibility to work in other areas during downtime and as qualified to perform. * Near vision and hearing sensitivity including: the ability to see details at close range and detect differences between sounds that vary in pitch and loudness. * Self-starter with a high degree of problem-solving skills and deductive reasoning. * Available to work Mon-Fri from 7am-5pm (sometimes get out a little earlier on Fridays and overtime as needed). Additional Information for the Automotive Tire / Lube Technician: * No Certifications Required for Tire Technicians! * No Tools Required for Tires! * We have in-house training material to help tire techs/apprentices get state certified in brakes.
