About the Role: This is a wonderful opportunity for a suitably experienced Nutrition Allied Health Assistant to join the Community Care Nutrition Service at Canberra Health Services (CHS). We have a 2-day a week temporary AHA Level 3 position to backfill for a period of 7-months, with a possibility of increased hours, extension and/or permanency. The position will be suitable for a suitably experienced Allied Health Assistant who meets the criteria of an AHA3, this is necessary due to the level of autonomy and specific skills required in this role. Under the direct or indirect supervision of a dietitian the Allied Health Assistant will play a vital role in the day to day function of the Community Care Nutrition Service, including but not limited to: triaging nutrition referrals; conducting Allied Health Assistant nutrition clinics; organising nutrition supplement registrations; monitoring stores and equipment inventories; reviewing nutrition supplement tolerance; and duties like computer-based data entry and clinical file documentation. The successful candidate will be required to be available to work at various locations around Canberra. Please note: A merit pool may be created from this recruitment process and remain valid for 12 months. This pool may be used to fill both permanent and temporary positions across CHS. Responsibilities
