About the role An excellent opportunity exists for Allied Health Assistants to join the team at Eastern Health. You will be responsible in assisting multidisciplinary teams with their acute and sub-acute patients as part of the allied health team in the provision of best practice patient care as well as non-clinical duties that support the efficient operation of a busy weekend demand. These positions are currently based at a number of sites across the inner-east. This is a great opportunity to build and develop your skills. About you To be successful in this role you will possess: Commenced your bachelor of allied health or completed Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance is required (academic transcript of completion required) if applicable Previous experience working as an Allied Health Assistant or equivalent essential (including Physiotherapy students who have completed at least two clinical placements) Experience within an acute bed based hospital stream is desirable Highly developed interpersonal skills and communication A strong commitment to high quality care Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
