About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced Occupational Therapy Allied Health Assistant to join the Community Care Occupational Therapy team at Canberra Health Services (CHS). We have a temporary Allied Health Assistant Level 3 position to backfill for staff on secondment. The temporary position will be available for a period of 11 months, with a possibility of extension and/or permanency. This position will be suitable for a suitably experienced AHA who meets the criteria of an AHA 3; this is necessary due to the level of autonomy and specific skills required in this role. Under the direct or indirect supervision of an Occupational Therapist, the Allied Health Assistant will play a key role in the day to day functioning of the Community Care Occupational Therapy team, including but not limited to: delivering and setting up assistive technology in client homes as well as following up these devices, provision of educational materials as determined by the supervising clinician, assisting with referral management, management of day-to-day duties at the community health centres, computer-based data entry and clinical files documentation.
