Description
  • Temporary part-time | Support your ideal work-life balance with valuable hands-on experience
  • Box Hill Hospital | Opportunity to develop in a growing service
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary teams | Work alongside professionals from diverse fields

Eastern Health is one of Victoria's largest public health services. As a values-led, integrated service united by our Healthier Together promise, we deliver high-quality care, support and service to a broad and diverse community across Melbourne’s east and beyond.

About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for Allied Health Assistants to join the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy team at Eastern Health. Physiotherapy students who have completed at least two clinical placements are encouraged to apply.

In this role, you will support physiotherapists in delivering high-quality care to acute surgical patients, assisting with both clinical and non-clinical duties that help ensure the smooth operation of a busy weekend service.

These positions are based at Box Hill Hospital and involve working either a Saturday or Sunday each fortnight from 8:00am to 4:00pm, with opportunities to work additional public holiday shifts. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable acute healthcare experience and further develop your clinical skills within a supportive team environment.

What you’ll bring

  • Currently completing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and entering your final year in 2027 or have completed a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (transcript required).
  • Previous experience working as an Allied Health Assistant or equivalent, including Physiotherapy students who have completed at least two clinical placements.
  • Experience within an acute bed-based hospital setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
