We are seeking an Allied Health Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team in our Schools and Early Years Program and support the delivery of allied health programs within partner school in Forbes & Parkes. Please note, this is not a remote role and the successful candidates will need to be based in Forbes & Parkes.
In this role, you will work closely with qualified clinicians to implement therapy activities and programs designed by speech pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists and social workers. Your work will support students to build skills towards their individual therapy goals in communication, movement, emotional regulation and participation in learning, helping them to engage more fully in their everyday school environments.
You will be employed by Royal Far West and will spend much of your time working within partner schools. This requires strong collaboration with teachers and school staff, while adhering to both Royal Far West policies and school policies relating to child safety, wellbeing and inclusion. The role is flexible, with opportunities for part‑time or full‑time employment, depending on service needs and applicant availability.
The role also involves working respectfully with families and local communities, recognising the importance of cultural identity, community knowledge and strong relationships in supporting children’s development, wellbeing and learning.
