This role will have a focus on interprofessional education across the Allied Health Services and will support the support design and implementation of the SVHM Allied Health Education Strategy. Essential requirements You will be a qualified Allied Health Professional, registered with AHPRA or eligible for membership with the appropriate Professional Association for self-regulated Allied Health professions. You will have completed, or be working towards, a relevant higher degree or post graduate qualification in education. This role will have a focus on interprofessional education across the Allied Health Services and will support the support design and implementation of the Allied Health Education Strategy. The Allied Health Clinical Educator will be a role model for others, demonstrating well-developed clinical knowledge of your discipline area, have skills and knowledge in clinical education, feedback mechanisms, clinical supervision and leadership skills. In collaboration with the Allied Health Clinical Education Lead, the Allied Health Clinical Educator will: Support and collaborate with the Allied Health Clinical Education team; working in partnership with Allied Health discipline-specific clinical educators and SVHM Education and Learning Program leads, and key internal and external stakeholders. Support the design and delivery of effective teaching, learning and assessment practices of Allied Health professionals, Allied Health Assistants, and Allied Health students undertaking clinical placements at SVHM. Design, deliver and evaluate strategic education initiatives aligned with organisational and program priorities to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care. Ensure education delivered to Allied Health staff at SVHM is contemporary, clinically relevant, professional, and aligned with current best-practice evidence. 3.POSITION DUTIES Contribute to the assessment of learning needs across the Allied Health staff group to assist in developing the SVHM Allied Health Clinical Education strategy to support staff in delivering effective clinical care. Contribute to the development and implementation of an Allied Health Clinical Education Strategy underpinned by the Healthcare Educator Capability Framework. Support the design and delivery education initiatives aligned with strategic priorities and emerging service needs. Deliver relevant, high quality, evidence informed clinical education to Allied Health staff. Contribute to a collaborative teaching environment with key stakeholders internally and externally, including a strong focus on university partnerships. Participate in a culture of critical reflection, innovation, and professional excellence in clinical education. Work collaboratively with the Allied Health leadership team, Education and Learning leaders and discipline based clinical educators to ensure the SVHM Allied Health workforce have access to relevant, high quality, evidence informed clinical education. Contribute to development and review of education resources to support continuous improvement of clinical services provided to patients/clients. Maintain up-to-date knowledge, skills, and practice by researching and developing adult education principles, models of best practice in training and education, and developing training programs to support and improve the delivery of education to staff and students Act as an appropriate and effective role model and promote a culture and supporting education practices that reflect the organisational values through demonstrated behaviours and interactions with employees and patients. Contribute to auditing, monitoring and evaluation and maintenance of records of clinical education delivery and efficacy. Completed or working towards a relevant higher degree or post graduate qualification in education. 5.1EXPERIENCE and OTHER REQUIREMENTS: At least seven years of clinical and clinical education experience in the public healthcare system. Demonstrated ability to deliver relevant, high quality, evidence informed clinical education, experience in interprofessional education highly desirable. High levels of specialist knowledge in clinical education within their profession. High-level skills in consultation, coaching, supervision and feedback provision. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability to build relationships and foster teamwork. Understanding of evidenced based practice and models of Allied Health with a focus on application to clinical practice. Well-developed organisation, planning and problem-solving skills.
