Description
Strengthen clinical standards. Influence practice. Shape the future of Allied Health. At Anglicare Sydney, we bring the strength, the support and the strategy to make it happen. For more than 160 years, we’ve served older people with compassion, dignity and respect. As our Seniors Communities portfolio continues to grow, we’re investing in strong clinical governance and practice leadership to ensure our services are safe, consistent and future‑ready. We are now seeking an experienced Allied Health Lead to join our Quality team, based at Macquarie Park with regular site engagement across Sydney. This is a senior, non‑operational leadership role focused on uplifting allied health practice across our villages, Social Wellness Centres and Home Care services. Your Opportunity This is a full‑time, permanent role within the Quality team, reporting to the Head of Quality & Risk. You will act as the subject matter expert and practice leader for Allied Health, supporting Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists across the organisation through guidance, governance, observation and improvement — rather than direct line management. With hybrid flexibility, you’ll balance head‑office‑based quality and documentation work with regular site visits to influence and support practice on the ground. About the Role In partnership with the Quality team and clinical leaders, you will: Provide senior allied health leadership and subject‑matter expertise across the organisation Strengthen allied health policies, procedures, frameworks and clinical standards Identify gaps or variation in practice and escalate evidence‑based recommendations Support governance, quality and risk frameworks impacting allied health services Visit villages and sites to observe practice, support Physiotherapists and OTs, and influence improvement Provide backend support including documentation review, compliance and audit preparation Support allied health teams in Social Wellness Centres and community services Balance strategic quality work with visible, practical engagement on site Influence practice change through collaboration, credibility and professional leadership What You’ll Bring You are a senior allied health professional who has stepped beyond hands‑on clinical delivery into governance, quality or professional leadership — and you thrive in that space. You will bring: Allied Health qualification with AHPRA registration (Physiotherapy strongly preferred; OT highly regarded) 5+ years’ experience in senior allied health roles Demonstrated experience transitioning from clinical practice into leadership, governance or quality roles Strong understanding of clinical governance, compliance and quality frameworks Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and frontline clinicians without line management High attention to detail with confidence in documentation, standards and policy development Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills Current driver licence and willingness to travel regularly across Sydney (primarily Taren Point and Castle Hill) Why Anglicare Sydney? At Anglicare, you’ll be part of a respected, values‑led organisation where quality, integrity and compassion genuinely matter. You’ll also enjoy: Flexible work options to support work‑life balance Salary packaging benefits – up to $15,900 tax‑free income plus $2,650 for meals and entertainment Ongoing professional development and leadership training Exclusive discounts to over 400 retailers Employee Assistance Program and Fitness Passport with discounts to over 800 gyms Are You Ready for a Career That Means More?
