We enable marine and safety professionals to learn and train by simulation in an efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable way to work towards a safer world. With 20+ years of experience and a strong client base all over the world, VSTEP wants to enable learning by simulation on a large scale. We do this by offering a strong NAUTIS product portfolio covering the full learning and training cycle of a maritime professional, and Response Simulator, our virtual training tool for emergency responders.

As an allround IT specialist at VSTEP, you do everything you can to ensure that our IT systems, the workplaces and the network at our office in Rotterdam run smoothly. Now and in the future, because you always think two steps ahead. As you will be the only IT specialist present at our office, you will be the oil to keep the machine going. An external IT expert will be available for your questions or if you need advise.

What will you be doing:

• Ensuring optimal management, maintenance and performance of workstations, the network and peripherals.
• Managing, maintaining and installing hardware components.
• You make sure new colleagues have everything IT related that they need on their first day.
• You have ideas about optimizations regarding the system, applications, service and common problems.
• Management of all users within our Office 365 enviroment.
• You are the go to person for questions of colleagues and/or issues in the workplace area for users throughout the organization. You advise proactively and are solution-oriented in this.
• Management and maintenance of the telephone system (mobile and at the office), netwerk and the Office 365 environment.
• You perform basic system management tasks for which you receive support from an external partner.
