PTC is looking for a Technical Solution Engineer to join the ALM EDC team. Codebeamer is an agile Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solution for distributed development. It helps users streamline product innovation processes, enhance product quality, reduce development costs, and maintain compliance with safety-critical standards. Codebeamer is a complete lifecycle management solution with all-in-one requirements, risk, and test management capabilities. Key Responsibilities, in no particular order: Work closely with the ALM Enterprise Deployment Center (EDC), ALM Solution Architects and BSM’s to provide customer and partner support Be a self-starter, able to prioritise activities and work independently under the guidance of the ALM EDC Advisory Services: Provide technical advisory services and mentorship Support Field Readiness and Continuous Improvement: Support PTC’s Internal segment processes, the Partner Hub and solicit feedback from the field for segment considerations, Best Practice development and Scale: Provide subject matter expertise to Service Offer Management (SOM) to build offerings Cross functional Collaboration: Provide segment specific subject matter expertise in cross functional initiatives Community Practice Evangelism: Share segment/industry specific expertise throughout the technical community of practice. Professional Services and Service partners Customer Escalation Support: Act as the technical expert and advisor to assist to resolve critical customer issues Day-To-Day: Develop & present technical presentations and customized demonstrations of PTC Codebeamer to customers, prospects & partners Organize technical workshops based on customers’ and partners’ business needs As a solution finder, suggest potential solutions and/or alternatives to key customer and partner challenges Act as technical expert for customer projects, working with our partners, solution centres & R&D Analyse customers’ processes and PTC solutions value Create technical documentation, including guides, best practices, and reference materials, to empower customers to make the most of our products. Investigate and resolve technical issues, working closely with the customer and our engineering teams to find effective solutions. Contribute to the creation of reference architectures and frameworks that enable customers to scale and optimize their use of our software. Travel expectation 50%-60% Preferred Skills and Attributes: Expert in at least one programming language (Java, C++, JavaScript, etc.) Strong knowledge of relational Database technology (Oralce, PostgreSQL) Self-Starter, ability to work independently Good relationship building capabilities, high-energy & results-oriented Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Demonstratable problem solving methodology Attention to detail, solution-finding and good presentation skills Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English & Japanese Preferred Experience: Experience in cloud technology (Azure, AWS, OpenShift) Experience in a CI/CD technology Understand Scalable Architectures ALM Experience would be seen as a plus Previous management experience would be seen as a plus Previous consulting experience would be seen as a plus Basic Qualifications: Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s degree / master’s degree or equivalent Minimum 8 years professional experience in a professional services delivery role.
